Now there’s no excuse to miss out!

The new auto-email system is live on the games site, so when you challenge someone to a game, they receive an email saying who has challenged them to what game, at what time and for how much prize money!

This will let people know there is a challenge waiting for them.

Don’t forget you can also use the Instant Messenger too.

It has come to my attention that another site has begun to use the uVme games site as a way to raise funds for charity.

Clearly, this is splendid; the more we raise for charity - the better. However, I have some doubt as to the veracity of this new site’s claims. The reason for my misgivings is that the site in question has lifted content from this site. Ok, as far as the Internet goes, this is not a serious misdemeanour. However, it is an indicator of the owner’s ethics if they feel this is a reasonable practice.

So, please be vigilant - check all claims. How do you know the site is really giving to charity? How do you know the owner is operating the site ethically and with good conscience?

I operate uVmePlayersLounge and ChallengeYourMates with three factors in mind: openness, honesty and reliability. If you, and your friends really want to be sure they are giving to charity when they play uVme games - you know where to come.

I have been reliably informed that Blob Factory will be arriving on the Games Site next week - this game will be the first to feature ‘Tournaments’ with some really excellent prizes!

The existing game, Bubble Trouble is being updated, it will soon have richer graphics, sound and improved gameplay. The developers are responding to your ideas… So, keep your feedback coming - remember, the Games Site is YOUR space - we are aiming to make it everything you would want it to be!

The new “Speed Pool” game should also be on the site by the end of next week. A golf game is now in development, and the Battleships game will be arriving in 2 weeks.

“Blob Factory”, soon to be released on the games site. So far, those who have been lucky enough to test the game say it is going to be an extremely popular game -  in some ways it is similar to “Fruit Frenzy” (currently our most-played game)
- and yet some who have tried it think Blob Factory is EVEN MORE FUN!

You have to aim your little mechanical blob-shooter toward blobs of a similar colour to the one you need to shoot out. Three or more blobs of the same colour touching each other will POP as pictured above… but get it slightly wrong and you will run out of space for the never-ending production line of BLOBS, which means game over!

To win, you pop enough of the blobs of each colour to fill up eachof the test tubes in your blob-o-meter before time runs out.

Best of all, Blog Factory will be featured in the first games tournament. For a two-week period, there will be daily cashprizes for Blob Factory players, with the winner getting quite a nice little blob of cash every day!

The web-based Instant Messenger (IM) is almost ready.

This is the feature that will totally transform the game site. It has taken a while to engineer the software for this - after all, it is ground-breaking in its features and potential.

Very soon now, you will be in a position of being able to communicate, live, with other players. Sending messages to chat to your opponents, challenging others and inviting your mates to play… all while the games continue. The latest test of the IM have demonstrated that the technology works and that game play was
not interrupted when chat messages were sent to players.

You can now withdraw your winnings from the games site using PayPal.

Last month, PayPal became available on the site for uploading funds; but now players can use it for both deposits and withdrawals. This is a great feature because PayPal is one of the most popular and well-known payment systems on the Internet, with trusted security and reliability.

The availability of PayPal as a withdrawal method makes it even more appealing and easy to use - so let everyone know!

Try it out, if you’ve got a PayPal account, just log on to the games site, click the “Deposit Funds” tab, then the “Withdraw Funds” link on the left-hand menu… then select “PayPal”!

If you’ve challenge your mates to a game and they haven’t responded it may have been due to the short life of games challenges. However, that has all changed…

Now, when you send your friends a games challenge, they have 24 hours to accept it before the challenge expires - double the original time period of 12 hours. This gives your opponent twice as long to take up the challenge, or even get some practice time in before they accept your challenge!

And even better, no matter where in the world your opponent lives,what time zone they are in, or whether they are nocturnal or morning people - they can take up your challenge at a time to suit them.
