Progressive Tournaments

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

The games programmers have been hard at work to bring progressive tournaments to the games site. You can probably imagine that with the potential to have many thousands of players in one tournament over a short period of time, we need to be very sure that the systems operating them are running with maximum efficiency.

With that in mind, testing will continue for the rest of this week, and we will launch the first progressive tournament next week!

By popular demand the first progressive tournament will feature the very popular game… Fruit Frenzy. But the best news is that the entry fee will be set at £1, and 33% of the top scoring players will win a prize!

Now you know which game is featured - time to get some practice in…

Something To Smile About

Players speak out…

“After playing for only a short time, I’m up £10.
I uploaded £10 – won a few games, lost a few and got to £18.50 – today, I’m at £20. Not bad, doubled my money in only a few weeks… and had fun too.”

Tom Bell

“My gaming skills have been on the up (and the down). I’ve been as low as £2.50, but have had a high mark of £18″
Ken

“I started off with £20, this went up to £30 (thanks to Jigsaw Wars!)”
Paulvev

“I started with €5, and now I have reached a €150, just playing with the Brick Jam.”
Lenarc

So… is there a secret to winning money while you play the games?

Game Tips

  • Concentrate on one or two games to build up your skills
  • Play for free a couple of times until you get the hang of the strategy
  • Then start low – challenge your mates for 25p (say) while you are still developing your strategies
  • When your strategies are working consistently, raise your game a little.
  • If you are worried about playing against strangers, then play against your friends. Invite someone you know, but who hasn’t played the games… that way your skills levels will match and you can learn together.
  • Even though this is an online activity, some players get together to play… get the drinks in, invite your mates round. log in to www.ChallengeYourMates.com, and share the fun of the games.
  • A couple of my mates play for free – with the loser buying the drinks at the pub later (best out of three?)
  • On the other hand, if you play to win cash… the winner can buy the drinks!

Now, that is something to smile about!
