We are continuing to spread the word about our charity games site. Online advertising has a cost that detracts from the aim of our fundraising efforts, so this quick competition was born.
Here’s a simple way to win £25 ($25 or €25), and it won’t cost you a penny (or a cent).
The Rules:
The rules are fairly simple. To enter you do need to do only two things:
One: you need to take a look at the ChallengeYourMates site and play some games. You do not need to upload funds – this is a FREE competition! If you haven’t already joined, visit the site now and take a look at the games. When you do join you will be asked to choose a username – remember this name… you’ll need it to play games in the future, and you’ll need it to enter this competition.

Two: you need to post a to link to www.challengeyourmates.com. The link can be either a mention on FaceBook, MySpace, or similar site; it can be a post, your blogroll… whatever. I don’t let people tell me what to post on my blog and I’m not going to tell you what to write on yours. As long as there’s a working link, you’ll be entered.
Then email me (Harrison[at]irontree.co.uk) with the URL where your link is found and the username you have when playing games. I will then enter your name into the draw. Sites with objectionable content (‘adult’ sites, ‘pharmacy’ sites, and any site deemed as spam) will not be eligible. I will notify you ASAP if your entry has been rejected for any reason.
How’s that for a simple, entertaining competition package?
The Small Print:
- The competition runs from now until March 25th 2008.
- The winning username will be chosen completely at random by utilising the UK Lotto draw numbers for the evening of Wednesday 26th March.
- By entering the competition you agree to having your username, but no other details, posted on this Blog. On 26th March I will post the details (again, only the username) of the winner.
- The prize money will be entered into your eWallet at the games site. This is not a catch. You can use the eWallet funds to play games, or simply withdraw the money and buy yourself a couple of CD’s (or whatever). The choice is yours! Now, because there is a small charge to withdraw funds, I will actually credit your eWallet with £26.50 ($27.00 or €27.00) to ensure the cash value to you is correct. How fair is that?[ps. if you do decide to use your winnings to play games, you can do so safely in the knowledge that you are benefiting Cancer Research UK - here are more details of how our charity fund-raising works.]
I hope to run similar competitions in the future so would welcome your comments.
